Between Proficiency Certificate and Problem Sheets

Hey all,
The second week of uni is over now, and I just wanted to give you a quick summary. I had to chose a different forth subject, which is quite nice up until now. I am quite happy with my maths unit choices so far. The problem sheets we get each week take up a lot of time, much more then in Germany, so basically I end up with the same amount of work as in Germany for the maths lectures.
On Wednesday my first English lectures started. I was assigned to the highest level of the Cambridge classes, and I really was worried, I would be the person speaking the worst English in this class. In fact, they all speak English at approximately the same level as me. The group was fairly big, the room was really filled, and spent about an hour on a name game, and getting to know the people sitting close to us. The next two hours we had small quizzes, and some exercises. I really liked the class, and was happy to meet them. I already ordered the book I need for the class, which set me back 20GBP. After the Cambridge course, me other English lecture started 'Seminar Skills and Informal Spoken English'. I was shocked to sit in a room with 20 Chinese people, because I thought I was in the wrong class, but it was the right one, and the lecturer is really a great guy. We spent the one and a half hour by getting to know each other, and speaking about ourselves basically. I had a great time. I really like the atmosphere in both those classes. The most important things I've learnt there: You do not automatically speak a language just by living in a foreign country, Maths is pronounced 'math-s' really and Chinese people may pick an European name if they want.
When I finally came home at around 9pm I was exhausted but really happy. Getting up on Thursday was really difficult for me, but in the five hours time between lectures I got all my exercise sheets done. In the evening me and Andy cooked and for the first time for quite a while all my housemates where in the living room for the same time. We watched some TV shows, and had a few beers, when we decided to go to XL later. Anton and I went to Vodka Rev first, to have a few shots. The line before XL was huge, and Security had a lot of work picking out the people which were too drunk. They actually do alcohol tests. Pretty funny. Four of the guys before us in the queue where picked out, and never came in. In the club Anton and I met Dan and some friends of him. Later I even met Paul in the club, and I had a great time, but it went a little out of control, and I was home late, and didn't even hear my alarm, so I missed my two problems classes.
Tonight I will have a nice grasshopper and then hit the clubs again with Dan and Riddy, and maybe some other guys as well. Before that I should really write my essay for English, but I just don't feel like doing it, and I want to do it properly. Wouldn't have thought that I would be so much into languages.
I will have to book my flight back to Germany next week, and the train to the airport as well. I think I will stay in Germany for New Years, but I'm still not sure yet. Also I may go to Bristol next week at some point, hopefully someone will join me for that.

Cheers.
